“The Eyes Have It!” was inspired by a Great Horned Owl that watches me in my garden. Recently I visited the World Bird Sanctuary here in St. Louis, where I met Jake, one of their Great Horned Owls. Jake’s eyes are amazing; he has a clear lens about a quarter inch deep in front of the iris, when viewed from the side. This must help with an owl’s exceptional night vision – no moonlight required! The gentle “Hoo hoo” of a Great Horned owl has always had a soothing effect on me. Therefore, “The Eyes Have It!” is indeed close to my heart!

This sterling pendant is a sculptural evolution of the bronze that I dedicate to my love of listening to owls.

Each is cast to order, numbered and includes my mark, Joy Beckner Bronze Sculptor.
