"The Eyes Have It!" was inspired by a Great Horned Owl that watches me in my garden. Recently I visited the World Bird Sanctuary here in St. Louis, where I met Jake, one of their Great Horned Owls. Jake’s eyes are amazing; he has a clear lens about a quarter inch deep in front of the iris, when viewed from the side. This must help with an owl’s exceptional night vision – no moonlight required! The gentle "Hoo hoo" of a Great Horned owl has always had a soothing effect on me. Therefore, "The Eyes Have It!" is indeed close to my heart! Each will vary slightly as I use real twigs to create the branches on the base. Each bronze is made by hand, one at a time, in Colorado, USA.
