I imagine this gal eagerly awaiting her master’s next command. The color of the small elegant bronze on travertine reminds me of fall grasses through which she is heeling and asking, “What’s next?” The title can be taken two ways: Is the dog living to please you, or are you living to please the dog? It seems more like the second way with my own dogs!
“Lives to Please” is modeled after master hunter and 2004 obedience queen, Miss Soupy, of the Miners Kennel. Soupy continued her winning ways with owner-handler Bridget Carlsen in 2005, taking Fourth Place at Crufts. When Nancy Miner called to tell me the piece had arrived, she left a simple message, “Awesome…makes me cry! Awesome. Thank you!” Her voice then made me cry… and grin from ear to ear! Each “Lives to Please” is made by hand by my ten hand-selected specialists in Colorado, USA. Each includes a Certificate of Authenticity, my signature, and my mark,
