When Barbara Waterfall first told me what she had in mind for this piece, I was excited because I saw the possibility for a beautiful sculpture. Barbara sent me photographs of her beloved Remington. Barbara and I are grateful to Pat Thayer, a Gordon Setter breeder here in Missouri, who generously helped with measurements and, when I was 98% finished, she brought Gage, her winning young setter, as a live model.

Gordon Setters are known for having a faithful, affectionate nature, and, thus, a “Big Heart.” Your “Big Heart” may be at home in your home, garden, or, imagine a mirrored pair as your gatekeepers!
