When Barbara Waterfall first told me what she had in mind for this piece, I was excited because I saw the possibility for a beautiful sculpture. Barbara sent me photographs of her beloved, elegant Remington. Then, Pat Thayer, a Gordon Setter breeder here in Missouri, generously helped by emailing photographs and measurements. When I was 98% finished, she brought her winning young setter, who is now a champion, to me as a real, live model so I could capture the head. Barbara and I are deeply grateful to Pat without whose help I could not have created this piece as well. The title came about because Gordon Setters are known for having a faithful, affectionate nature, and, thus, a "Big Heart." Barbara’s sculpture of Remington shall be featured in her garden, and later shall watch over the Waterfall family cemetery in Maine. Your "Big Heart" may be equally at home in your home, or wherever a graceful piece may please you. Imagine a mirrored pair at your entry, as your gatekeepers, "Big Heart times Two!"

Each "Big Heart" Gordon Setter bronze sculpture is hand made, one at a time in Colorado. Each is signed, numbered and includes my mark,

The Black & Tan patina is standard.
The Reddish Bronze patina may be special ordered.
A custom granite base is optional.
